Heroically Gaming
Play is an important part of our lives, but sometimes it takes second place to the pressures of everyday concerns. I wanted to find my clients a space to play, explore their creativity, and find community. I created a tabletop roleplaying game system designed for groups, giving you a place connect to creativity, friends, & your best self. Through collaboration, safe yet meaningful challenges, & customized game play, you'll be surrounded by allies as you launch your own heroic journey.
Role-playing actually encourages creativity, self-awareness, group cohesion and "out-of-the-box" thinking From "The Functions of Role-Playing Games: How Participants Create Community, Solve Problems and Explore Identity" by Sarah Lynn Bowman
Game Groups
I run reflective roleplaying game groups for teens, adults, & helping professionals. Groups consist of 4-6 players from similar backgrounds and run 3-5 months at a time. If you are interested in how joining a group might benefit you, contact me today!

TESTIMONIALS
"RPGs have been completely new to me and so while learning such a new world, I've really appreciated Phil's kind teaching style, fun energy, and creativity! As a mental health therapist, I've also especially appreciated his awareness and skill with group dynamics!"

"Phil is excellent at what he does, regardless of your 'comfort' level in an RPG. I had my doubts about an RPG group with a bunch of strangers. He's done incredible work in making sure all members of our group participate and have fun. It's been excellent playing and I look forward to it more and more!"
“Phil Doud’s Role Playing Games are not the typical Dungeons and Dragons experience. To start with, his homegrown system allows the players to be as creative and inventive as they would like to be. The player feels encouraged to experiment. That said, the core of Phil’s gameplay is the reflective experience. I oftentimes find I am replaying my life in his tabletop microcosm. The personal examination of interactions between the players through their characters. The emergence of understanding of one’s hidden motivations. The capacity to experiment with new attitudes and behaviors in a safe environment. These are the areas where Phil’s gaming really stands out.

"As a first-time RPG player with zero experience, I knew little of what to expect but had a curiosity about exploring the intersection of self-development through play. Eight months later, I have been on an incredible journey through magical worlds... RPG is such a wonderful, safe and containing way to allow parts of you that you may be too afraid to let out fully come out to play. At one point, I realized how much my character resembled traits or characteristics I wanted to possess, or had disavowed at one point or another. Through play, through the RPG process, it became easier and easier to get closer to these parts and welcome them back into my reality, and into my own persona.
